Chanah Brenenson is an experienced litigator practicing in all phases of family and matrimonial law. Before joining Braunstein & Zuckerman Chanah worked for Sanctuary for Families in New York City. To further her family law trial skills Chanah completed the Family Law Trial Advocacy Program, specialized training offered by the American Bar Association/National Institute of Trial Advocacy in Boulder, Colorado.

Chanah attended law school at the University of Pennsylvania, and while there she took a lead role in shaping the then newly formed Journal of Constitutional Law. She also represented clients in the civil practice clinic. Before law school, Chanah studied computer science, earning a Bachelor of Science from Brooklyn College and a Masters of Arts from Hunter College, both summa cum laude. For her graduate work in computer science, she received the National Science Foundation Graduate Fellowship Award.

Combining her legal training and science background, Chanah initially practiced intellectual property law with a concentrating on patents. She started her practice at the intellectual property firm Darby & Darby, P.C., and subsequently worked in the intellectual property departments at Kasowitz, Benson, Torres & Friedman, LLP and Kirkland & Ellis, LLP. She has over ten years of big firm litigation experience in Federal Court.

Chanah is registered with United States Patent & Trademark Office (2001) and is a member of the American Bar Association (Family Law Section), New York State Bar Association (Family Law Section), Westchester County Bar Association (Family Law Section), and Westchester Women’s Bar Association.

Chanah lives in Riverdale with her husband and son. She is a member of a community choir, and enjoys cycling and hiking with her family.
